What is Sober Living?

We offer a structured, alcohol and drug-free living space where residents can focus on their recovery while developing essential life skills. Residents are encouraged to participate in group therapy sessions and support meetings to foster accountability and community.

We focus on helping residents cultivate new, positive habits that support their recovery. This includes fostering a sense of responsibility through daily chores and maintaining a clean living environment. We encourage residents to engage in meaningful activities that promote a sense of purpose, such as volunteering or participating in community events. By building connections with others and developing healthy routines, residents can strengthen their commitment to sobriety and personal growth.

What does a typical day look like in sober living?

In our sober living program, a typical day starts at 8:00 AM when residents wake up and get ready for their day. Everything in our program structure serves to either foster a sense of community and accountability, create healthy habits, or focus on recovery. Mornings typically consist of breakfast, chores, or a recovery meeting before heading off to start your day.

From 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM, residents engage in meaningful activities, which may include volunteering, working, or attending school. Each resident is required to have at least 30 productive hours each week and attend at least 4 recovery meetings of their choice. This structured time helps keep everyone busy and focused on their recovery journey while contributing positively to the community.

As the afternoon rolls in, residents come together to unwind and connect. They might play games, collaborate on making dinner, or simply enjoy each other's company in a relaxed atmosphere. Before dinner, there's a designated hour for prayer and meditation, allowing everyone to reflect and center themselves.

After dinner, residents typically complete any chores for that day, reinforcing a sense of teamwork and accountability. The evenings provide a chance for casual bonding and support, creating a nurturing environment that encourages personal growth and sober living.

Is transportation included?

We do not formally offer transportation. However, we are located within .5 mile of a bus stop. Many of our residents and operators will also help with transportation when they are available. We also have bikes onsite that you are able to use with an additional security deposit.

Are meals provided?

Our residents are responsible for their own meals. However, residents are encouraged to cook and eat together to strengthen the community. Many of our residents utilize food stamps and come with us on our weekly food pantry runs.

What is the average length of stay?

The average length of stay can vary based on individual needs and progress, but most residents typically stay anywhere from 3 to 12 months. This duration allows individuals to establish a solid foundation for their recovery while integrating back into everyday life. However, we do not put a time limit on your journey. We want to be the Last Stop on your road to independence!
